| Mullinax Brings Home Top 10 Finish
Young Driver Impressive in his Second Start of the Season
The 2nd race of the ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour at the Watermelon Capital Speedway was held on Sunday, April 6th after a total wash out on Saturday. Jeremy and his team was fast in all practice sessions throughout the weekend, posting the 2nd fastest lap in both practice sessions on Sunday before qualifying. Jeremy was the last car to take time trails for the Watermelon 100 and in which he posted the 15th fastest lap of the day.
From the drop of the green flag Mullinax wasted no time passing cars and working his way up to 12th before Jeremy and Tyler Millwood made contact coming off of turn 4 which forced Jeremy to start all the way in the rear of the field. Jeremy didn't let that slow him down as he began to make up the positions that he had lost, before disaster struck again on Lap 76 involving several drivers including himself.
Mullinax was forced to pit road to fix the body damage that he got on the lap 76 accident. The JMR Racing crew got Jeremy back out on the track, although he had a lot of body damage to the right side of his race car that didn't slow him down either with only 24 laps to go Mullinax fought hard to every position that he could gain.
After a long day for the team Jeremy brought his car home to a 9th place finish and in which is not what the team was hoping for but considering the trouble at the beginning of the race a top 10 finish was like a win the JMR Racing team.
