There couldn't be a better way
to spend your 4th of July other than the Music City Motorplex in
Nashville Tn. and that is where the JMR Racing team spent there
weekend. Some referred to the track as the Super Speedway
of short track racing. The 07 machine was not lightning fast off
the trailer but Mullinax was able to qualify in the 11th
starting position. As the Kenny Chesney concert and the
firework display kicked off over in the distance of the Music
City Motorplex so did the start of the RC/Cola and Moonpie
100. When the green flag was displayed Jeremy made a charge for
the top 10, settling down in the 8th position after only 15 laps
of the race. When the first caution flag was thrown after a long
green flag run Mullinax reported that his car was quickly
starting to fade away, even after a brake adjustment didn't seem
to help the car that much Mullinax still fought hard and battled
for every position. A late race caution involving Mullinax and
several others including Taylor Sattlerfield and Micheal Pope,
caused when a car checked up and was turned into the backstretch
wall ended the night for several driver but Jeremy was able to
continue and take the checkered flag in the 14th position which
would move Jeremy up 2 spots in the points battle to the 8th
position. " We had a pretty good car at the beginning of the
race but the car feel off pretty quick and we was just holding
on from there" Mullinax said. "Im not really sure what happen
with the big pile up on the backstrech it looked like someone
got turned in the wall and then just may la from there, I hate
it for Satterfield and Pope and all those guys, just another
example of tough luck."
